What makes two people quit their jobs and move everything they own into a couple of panniers?

For us, the sunless winter months of a familiar West London idyll started to feel a little too comfortable. Whilst browsing through the shelves of a charity shop,  we stumbled across Laurie Lee’s “As I Walked Out One Midsummer Morning”.

An account of a serendipitous walk around Spain, this book set us searching about for our own tall tales of tiny towns.

Owners of two touring bikes, we set out kitting them up to ride around the old continent.
